NOTICE:
The SBG-RBL.ORG DNS lists service a small group of customers in the Central United States,
unless you have been actually blocked by a mail server we provide service for, there is no
reason to request a De-List as your email has not been blocked even though its listed.
Various commercial entities, not-for-profits and ISP's use these RBL's to assist them in filtering email.
NOTE: SBG-RBL.ORG does not block email, we merely provide another means for our clients to filter their email.
The SBG-RBL.ORG Zones currently contain IP and hostname information for countries/regions, SpamHouse mail server ranges, and ISP/Hosting Providers netblocks that provide bandwidth, support and/or server space to persistent SPAMmers, and dynamic IP ranges.
Those IPs and Hostnames included on these lists are there for a variety of reasons, including:
|
|
Dynamic/DSL/Cable modem IPs and other 'residential' type IPs that are not clearly noted as purely business lines are likely to be listed and blocked. This is mainly due to the large amounts of SPAM,
joe-job bouncebacks and Viruses from these IP blocks due to compromised machines.
NOTE: The reuse of legacy ISP dynamic netblocks as static IPs by some ISPs can also result in an IP being blocked, this is particularly true for older DSL and Cable modem IPs.
And let's be honest here:
A truly Dynamic IP should not be sending email directly.
These 'dynamic' hosts typically account for over 60% of our client's SPAM and over 90% of our viruses.
Some SPAM Blocking Statistics by the sender's ISP and/or Region:

Mainland China, Korea, Argentina, Brazil, Turkey, Russia, Thailand, Nigeria and Malaysia
DISCLAIMER: Nothing against these countries.
Just too much SPAM/Virus emails from these areas, and our client's requested the lists.
NOTE: Please do not ask to be removed from these zones.
If you are located in these countries then you belong in that zone.

* We will NOT unlist any IP that is on the DYN list if it does not have and show proper reverse DNS! * If your IP/Host has your ISP's generic reverse DNS - FIX YOUR REVERSE DNS or we will not de-list it. (This includes those listed as 'static' and especially if a host lookup on your IP in the mail-log shows as 'may be forged') * If an IP/Host is listed on the DYN list and is NOT a server sending email to clients, there is no reason to request a de-list (and we probably will not de-list in any case). * If you are a serious mail admin, running a mail system for a business - then get proper reverse DNS for your mail server. Most all ISPs give you this service for 'free' for a business mail server. Take advantage of this and be a responsible server admin. |

If you have been blocked, and would like to request that we de-list you
(after you have read this page!), send an email to the following
address FROM THE MAIL SERVER THAT IS BEING BLOCKED. We will
ignore any requests to de-list that are not sent from the blocked server!
And please, send it from the blocked email server if possible so we have full headers to work with.
De-list requests not sent from the blocked mail server will be ignored.
